Experience
I am genuinely passionate about learning, and love to share my excitement about the world with others. I am applying to a number of PhD programs, with the intention of someday becoming a professor; tutoring seems like an appropriate first step! My SAT scores were very high; a 740 in Critical Reading, 660 in Math, and 680 in Writing (placing me in the 98th, 88th, and 94th percentiles nationally, respectively). I took SAT subject tests in World History, U.S. History, and Literature, earning perfect scores in each. While in high school I took both IB and AP courses. I have studied Arabic, Aramaic, German, and Russian, and feel especially confident in matters of English, history, politics, art and music history/style, religions, and the like.

Hobbies
I am especially interested in all things 'artistic' - I mean, for instance, architecture, poetry, music, and art. I tend to approach my own studies with a very holistic sensibility, and I find that when discussing things with (or tutoring) others this is a useful trait to have; everything becomes more engaging when interconnected. I have lived and traveled abroad a great deal, and so have a fair amount of first-hand experience and understanding of matters that fall outside the American realm (in history, for instance, or contemporary politics!). I am very excitable about topics that interest me, and an immensely positive and optimistic character.
